AV Test

Look at the image at the bottom of the page. If you can see a green tick on the microphone and camera icons then your audio and video (AV) set-up is working properly. If there is a red line through one or both icons, try the following steps:

 

1. Make sure you have closed down any instant messenger software and any other applications that may be using your webcam or speakers/ mic.

 

2. Check you have the latest version of Flash Player installed on your computer. Flash Player 9 can be downloaded for free here.

 

3. Right-click on the image. Select "Settings . . .". Click on the computer screen icon. Make sure the "Allow" option is selected. Tick the "Remember" box and you won't have to allow access to your webcam and mic every time you enter the virtual classroom.

 

4. Right-click on the image. Select "Settings . . .". Click on the mic and webcam icons and try changing the selections in the drop-down boxes.

 

5. Make sure you have installed the proper drivers for your headset and webcam.
